Works in Progress

I am working on a number of projects right now. They are listed below, with estimated completion dates.
These will be BOOKS, not webpages.

1) Acadian Church Records: Ile St. Jean (March 2000)
• The surviving Acadian records from the Nova Scotia area have all been transcribed and published. The St. Pierre du Nord records were transcribed and included in Acadians in Exile (Donald Hebert). The Louisbourg records are available online. BUT, there is still one set of records unpublished. The only pre-1758 records Acadian records that have not been transcribed are those of Port LaJoye. This book will have the 1749-1758 records. I may do the earlier Ile St. Jean records at a later date.

2) Acadian-Cajun Genealogy Workbook (April 2000)
• A workbook to go along with the Acadian-Cajun Genealogy: Step by Step book that I did. It will contain brief directions, complete references, forms, and basic data (census, ship lists, etc.). It will be in a binder format so that you can remove pages for copying and can add your own pages.

3) The Acadian Census (June 2000)
• A fascimile edition of the Acadian censuses

4) Acadian-Cajun Atlas (summer 2000)
• This will be an oversize work (11x14) with maps from France, Acadia, Canada, exile locations, and Louisiana.

5) An Acadian Journal (late 2000?)
• This is the one I think I'll be most proud of; I haven't seen a book quite like it before.

6) Acadian Encyclopedia (late 2000/early 2001)
• A comprehensive collection of Acadian information in encyclopedic format; with numerous illustrations and maps.

7) The Acadians (2005 or beyond)
• This will be THE work ... a comprehensive history of the Acadian people ... from 1604 to 2004. Many books have covered the general story, and some books have covered parts of the story in detail. This large work is designed to cover the entire store in as much detail as possible. It will be years in coming ... at least 6+ years.
