Pierre HEBERT and below by DIOMY ARCEMENT. Joseph sent his power of
attorney from Opelousas.
The two land deals above were done in concordance with a power of attorney by Sebastian BENOIT at the Post of Atakapas (1 Feb. 1799) authorizing Charles HEBERT and Marie HEBERT to sell one plantation of 6 arpents [bound above by Etienne BOUDREAUX and below by widow GUEDRY], which was obtained by concession from the Spanish government in favor of Jean Joseph HEBERT. The proceeds are to go to them and their siblings, as heirs of the deceased Joseph HEBERT and Jeanne LAFORETRIE, the 2nd wife of Sebastien BENOIST, curator of the children of the 1st marriage.
