There were several parish in Acadia. Here is a listing of most of them. Parish of St. Jean the Baptiste [Port Royal area] Parish of St. Joseph [Canard River area] Parish of St. Charles [Grand Pre area] Parish of the Holy Family [Pisiquid area, left bank] Parish of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin [Pisiquid area, right bank] There were also several parishes on the isthmus and on Isle St. Jean. Though most of the Acadian Church records were lost or destroyed,  some have survived and can be found on microfilm and/or in print.
