     The Birthplace of Acadiana, Home of Evangeline, St. Martinville pulled out all of the
     stops this weekend with a treasure of activities like the fais do-do held on Market
     Street on Saturday night. Two bands kept the dancers out in the street for the night.
     A French band, Belisaire Musique Cajun, opened the night and a local favorite,
     Nik-L-Beer, followed giving everyone their money's worth. The activities in St.
     Martinville for the Congres Mondial Acadien features 45 events in one town over the
     two week period of the Congres.
