Acadian-Cajun Genealogy & History            History of Acadian Gatherings

Many Acadian gatherings were held from 1881 to recent times.  They were known as Acadian Conventions, and primarily concerned the Acadians of the Canadian Maritime Provinces.
After a number of years of not meeting, the first CMA was held in New Brunswick in 1994.  The decision was made to hold the next event in Louisiana in 1999.
