| As in Acadia, the furniture consisted of only the necessities. There was a table with benches or chairs. The parents had a large wooden bed with a moss-filled mattress. In some cases there were beds for the children, though often mats were placed on the floor. There was an armoire and/or trunk for clothes. There was a cabinet for storing food and utensils. |
