| Although food/cooking is one of the things associated with today's Cajun, the traditional Cajun kitchen wasn't known for spicy food. As in Acadia, it was common to gather together ingredients into a big cooking pot over the fireplace. In the 1800s, homes began to use wooden stoves. |
